Since 2003 the "Wellbeing in
Developing Countries" (WeD) project in the south of Thailand has been run by
the Agricultural Development Department, Faculty of Natural Resources, Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai
Campus
Even though the South of Thailand looks more prosperous than other
parts, mainly because of natural resources, there are many problems
that people face, such as natural resources degeneration, which
effects the population both in city and rural areas.
Beside the natural resources problem there are also differences with
culture, especially between Buddhist and Muslim communities that are also important
and are related to development and Wellbeing.
